About

Hi and welcome to my resources library. I’m not the kind of guy that talk about himself, but in this case, I will have to make an exception (is a “about” page right!?) but I will keep it small.

I’m a PHP5 Zend Certified Engineer / MySQL developer and most of my applications are made custom, but off course, some times, to avoid re-invent the wheel, I use a framework (most of the time, Zend).

I have been programming since 2002 and since then I have been collecting some methods, functions, links, books, classes, etc that more than often I loose.

After getting tired of loosing good pieces of coding, I have created this blog, for myself, for my friends and for everyone that enjoy open source or just need a hand when starting in PHP / MySQL.

If you find something that you like here, feel free to get it, just give a shout back and if you have some question that you believe that I might help you, post a comment and I will help you out.

If you like what you see and would like to have something similar, check first my website – Mcloide.com – There you will see what I do as websites and also can check out some cool pictures from the portfolio.

It’s not only because open source matters, it’s because PHP rocks.

bro, thanks for creating such a very informative blog. I’m also preparing for the exam. I’m using this november – january for my review. by the way, i don’t have a year experience in real world php coding. that doesn’t matter right?. how bout you? how long have you been reviewing before taking the php 5 exam regardless of your work experience ?

Hey Marvin, it does help a bit when you are doing the exam having previous PHP programming experience.

Some of the questions will try to simulate the real world scenarios (like the xml and soap questions), so knowing what to do in those cases, help a bit.

Anyway, if you are very comfortable programming PHP and have done pretty much about everything with coding, even if you don’t have a lot of working experience, study hard and focus on your weak points that you will pass the exam.

    Good luck.

P.S. Glad that you liked the library. It’s open 24/7 🙂
