Learn to program for G1 – The new Google Phone

I just got an email inviting to join a Bootcamp for learn to develop Android applications. It seems a very good thing but a little too pricy ($3500). Anyway it’s worth to check it out if you are looking to create applications for the new Google Phone the G1.

The bootcamp goal is for the student at the end:

  • create Android user interfaces (activities)
  • connect Android applications to the Internet and to local databases
  • publish data to Android applications through a content provider, and how to use data that other applications provide through their content providers
  • build long-running Android processes using services
  • use advanced Android features like GPS access, mapping, and search
