New Resource – Dynamic DNS

Posted by mcloide on October 16, 2009

Very similar to No-IP the DyDNS works providing a host or IP to any computer that does not have a static IP to use.

A very cool Online Image Editor

Posted by mcloide on February 8, 2009

I got the Aviary link this morning sent by a friend of mine. It’s not a stranger to my eyes, but this is the first time that I actually see it working.

After taking some steps to create an account I have checked the tools and the videos and I’m impressed. Off course you don’t have a online Photoshop or GIMP to work with, but you have at least the minimal tools that would allow you to create and changes images from anywhere.

With a nice Web 2.0 look and social networking features the Aviary is definetly a tool to be kept as a resource.

Check it out and have some fun playing with the editors.

Magento e-Commerce

Posted by mcloide on October 28, 2008

There are so many great shopping carts out there, but finally I found one that is Open Source and have great features – Magento e-Commerce shopping cart.

Some highlights:

  • Multiple stores in the frontend sharing the same backend
  • Great store front end
  • Great product display
  • You can save the session on the database – great for shared hosting

Some drown pots:

  • Does not have (at least listed) Authorize.net as payment gateway
  • backend (control panel) is a little hard to use

Anyway is very cool shopping cart to take a look at.

My next step will be see how far I can attach modules in it.

See you all latter.
